Our dental practice

is different from any other dental practice you might have ever experienced. That's because of our pleasant surroundings, highly skilled professional staff, and the high quality technical work we offer.

Not just a one size fits all

In today's world you are offered many choices of dental health care. You may choose an HMO (Health Maintenance Organization), a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) or a Cap Program (A capitation system). In all of these health delivery systems patients experience a restricted choice with regard to treatment planning. You are highly limited in both choosing and developing a significant relationship with either the dentist or the staff. It has been my observation that dentists who work under these restraints often do so begrudgingly and look at many health care plans as only a temporary means to another end.

free environment

Our practice represents the 2-3% of dentists in the United States who have made a commitment to practice in a free environment. We are free to choose each other or not! We are free to choose the best treatment plan that is consistent with your needs, wants, and values. This is not true of most practices. We believe patients involved with HMO's, PPO's, and capitation systems are not free to make these same choices. Normally they receive substandard treatment that does not involve the patient as part of the solution.

prevention & health

We have centered our practice around prevention and health as opposed to one that simply emphasizes emergency and repair care. The supporting gum tissue and bone are just as vital as teeth themselves. Unfortunately only lip service is normally paid to this important area and prevention is often misunderstood and inadequately stressed.

oral health maintenance

The best way to protect and maintain the crucial supporting structures for life is to have a qualified Hygienist clean your teeth regularly,at which time preventative procedures can be implemented to protect your dental health. While the responsibility for returning for periodic preventative treatment lies with you, we will provide a continuing program of oral health maintenance with you.

Emergency

We recognize that emergencies do occur. Patients in our practice family will be provided with a 24-hour answering service that will allow you to reach us at any time of the day or night. We offer priority status for you or any family member who we have seen in the previous year in our practice.

DFW Dentistry from the Heart 2011

Huckabee Dental is a participating practice in Dentistry From The Heart. Along with several volunteers, Huckabee Dental provided over $65,000 in free dental care last year. This event is held once a year, this year on Friday, February the 11th, 2011.
