Why Did You Want to
Become a Dentist?

As a child, Dr. Huckabee experienced some serious trauma to his teeth and ended up needing a great deal of treatment for much of his pre-teen and young adult years to correct the problems. Unfortunately, he felt at the time that the dentists who cared for him did not pay enough attention to detail throughout the treatment process. He thought that he would be able to do better if he’d been in their shoes –and the rest is history!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After attending Texas Tech, Dr. Huckabee studied for his doctorate at Baylor/Texas A&M Dental School. He is also a proud graduate of the Advanced Aesthetic Program at New York University and the sedation training at Montefiore Hospital in The Bronx. Over the years, he has authored articles in various leading dental journals and received ongoing postgraduate education from some of the nation’s most prominent facilities, including the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Studies. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Huckabee and his wife Anne have three children. Some of his favorite hobbies include bike riding at White Rock Lake, hiking with his dogs, doing CrossFit training, and hanging out with family and friends. He also spends at least 30 days a year in Colorado, biking, hiking, and skiing, and you can often find him grilling out and attending church on the weekends.
